How to play

  1. 01

    Choose a time

Pick 1 second for a burst, 5 seconds for a standard run, or 10 seconds for consistency.

  2. 02

    Start instantly

Press the large test area. Your first click starts the timer and counts toward your score.

  3. 03

    Keep clicking

Use the same input type and click as quickly as you can until time runs out.

What is a CPS test?

CPS means clicks per second. The test counts your clicks during a fixed time and divides the total by the number of seconds.

CPS = Total clicks ÷ Test duration in seconds

Which test duration should you choose?

Short tests favor burst speed. Longer tests show rhythm and consistency. Compare scores from the same duration.

1 SEC

Burst speed

Check your quickest short burst.

5 SEC

Standard test

The recommended balance of speed and repeatability.

10 SEC

Consistency

See how well you maintain your clicking rhythm.

What is a good CPS score?

PlayMinute labels results as Warm-up, Steady, Fast, Rapid, or Lightning. Your most useful benchmark is your own previous score on the same device and duration.

These labels are game feedback, not official percentiles. Mouse hardware, browser, test duration, and clicking method can all change the result.

Why do gamers measure CPS?

Some players in games with repeated inputs, including Minecraft PvP, use CPS tests to practice speed and rhythm. The value of a higher CPS depends on the game, version, and server rules, while aim and timing still matter.

How do clicking methods differ?

Players use several methods beyond regular clicking. Balance speed with control and comfort instead of chasing a number alone.

Regular clicking

Use one finger naturally to establish your baseline speed.

Jitter clicking

Use small vibrations in the arm and hand. It requires tension and can be difficult to sustain.

Butterfly clicking

Alternate two fingers. Mouse switch settings can affect the number of inputs.

Drag clicking

Use friction across the button to create multiple inputs. Many mice do not support it.

Creator CPS records

These clicking examples were published in videos by well-known Minecraft creators. Check the method and original conditions, not just the number.

This is not an official ranking. Test times and hardware differ, and drag clicking cannot be compared directly with regular clicking.

Frequently asked questions

Does the first click count?

Yes. The first valid press in the test area starts the timer and counts as click number one.

Can I compare mouse and mobile scores?

Touch input can use multiple fingers, so its conditions differ from mouse CPS. PlayMinute stores them separately.

Where is my personal best saved?

It stays in localStorage in this browser. You do not need an account or an installation.
